Tunisian Cluster Stitch ("tcls")

Description: The tunisian cluster stitch is unique because it is formed during the return row, as opposed to others such as the tunisian bobble stitch, corded stitch, and simple stitch created in the forward pass. The video tutorial demonstrates how to create open spaces (chain 3's) to separate the clusters, as well as how to pick up stitches in the horizontal threads of the forward pass.

Directions: Work up a swatch using an even amount of stitches. Create a basic forward pass as a base. Return Row: YO, pull through 2 loops (half cluster), *ch 3, YO, pull through 5 loops (cluster)* repeat from * to * across until last two sts, YO, pull through remaining loops. Forward Pass: Working in chains from previous row, pull up loops in the 2nd and 3rd chs closest to hook, pull up loop in back thread of next tcls, *pull up loops in next 3 chs, pull up loop in back thread of next tcls* repeat from * to * across. Continue alternating between the forward pass and return row.
